During our visit to New Hampshire in August 2009 David, Daniel and I hiked up to the Gray Knob cabin on the north side of Mt Adams one afternoon to visit a friend of Daniel's from Proctor who was caretaker there for the summer. The air was humid and the black flies grew steadily more numerous as we hiked up so we were glad to escape them when we reached the cabin. We hung out there and visited with Daniel's friend then hiked up a little farther to see the view before dashing back down because we were late for supper.
