Maui Reef Fish, January 2012
While in Maui we rented a Canon D70 underwater point and shoot and spent much of our snorkeling time trying to photograph fish. It was a great help in identifying the fish we saw, about 70 species altogether. We snorkeled at Ahihi Cove, La Perouse Bay and Coral Gardens on the west side of the island and Hana Bay and Red Beach in Hana. The camera worked best in sunlight or bright overcast in underwater mode with ISO 200 or lower and with little if any zoom. Took us a while to figure all that out.
