Snowy Owls at Damon Point, Ocean Shores, WA Feb-Mar, 2012

Susan and I drove down to Ocean Shores to see the Snowy Owls on Damon Point before they head back north again. They were about a mile out from the parking lot, perched on logs in a grassy open area of the point, preening and sleeping and occasionally peering out at all the photographers and birdwatchers gathered to see them. We saw six of the ten or so owls present and talked with several of the other birders. A week later we got out again and took a few more photos.
